Before these fonts can be installed, they must be de-compressed using a software product called “StuffIt”. All MAC files that are downloaded from the Web site are in a .hqx format (compressed).
If Stuff-It Expander is needed, you can download a FREE version at http://www.stuffit.com/mac/expander/download.html
In order to install OpenType fonts, you must be running either Mac OS X, or running Mac OS 8.6 - OS 9.x with ATM 4.6 installed. If ATM is needed, you can download the free ATM Lite program, found in the Related Assets section of this page. Note: ATM Lite is not available for Mac OS X.
Installing fonts on OS 9 or below:
- Open up the Hard Disk
- Open up the System Folder
- Open up the Fonts Folder
- Highlight and drag the screen font (suitcase with “A” on it) and the printer font (not the .AFM file) into the FONTS folder

- Open up Hard Disk.
- Open Up the Library Folder.
- Open up the Fonts Folder
- Highlight and drag the screen font and the printer font (not the .AFM file) into the FONTS folder.
Note: Customers can also use Adobe Type Manager, Suitcase and Font Reserve to install their fonts. In these instances, they should consult the user guide on how the fonts should be installed.
Note: OSX users if you do not see the postscript fonts listed in the menu right away, then you need to restart your computer.
