It is true that many “free font” Web sites link to Fonts.com when their users search for commercial fonts. Fonts.com has an “affiliate” program that allows other sites to list our fonts. When these fonts are chosen by a user, they are directed from that site towards our site for completion of the sale. The site that directed the visitor to Fonts.com receives a commission upon completion of the sale. As commercial fonts are by definition not legally available for free distribution, they must be purchased from an authorized distributor like Fonts.com.
