Monotype in OpenType!
The first Monotype designs may have originated over 100 years ago, but this collection is anything but dated. The vibrant Monotype collection includes popular designs released throughout the foundry’s
history, and features many of the world’s most widely used typefaces. Now, for the first time, Monotype is offering it’s complete collection in OpenType format. You’ll find Gill Sans Pro, Mentor, News Gothic, Cartier Book, Bodoni, Sabon, Perrywood and many, more of your favorite Monotype designs. Click here to see the entire list.
About OpenType
Open up to OpenType. There are many benefits to moving to this new format. OpenType fonts are easy to install and perform well on screen and when printed. And unlike other font formats, OpenType fonts can be used on both Macintosh and Windows systems.
The Monotype OpenType fonts include the same basic characters sets as their PostScript and TrueType counterparts. However, some fonts contain even more. As indicated by their name, some of the new Monotype Opentype fonts, such as Albertina Regular and Small Caps and Fineprint Light and Swashes, include extra Small Caps or Swash characters built into the same, single font file!
