Super Families
A Super Family is a sizable package that combines two or more groups of fonts from the same family. Super families may include sans and serif versions, condensed and extended versions, or any other combination of styles found within a family. The size and depth of a Super Family gives these products uncommon range and versatility.
ITC Century
In 1975 International Typeface Corporation (ITC) commissioned Tony Stan to create a new family of Century with a wider range of styles. Conforming to the tastes of the day, Stan tightened the letterspacing and increased the x-height. ITC Century is, by every definition, a font super family.
