Ocean Sans

Ocean SansThe most distinctive feature of designer Chong Wah'sOcean Sans typeface is the high contrast between thick and thin strokes. ”The thin strokes have been optically calculated to be approximately two-thirds the stem weight,” says Chong Wah. “This creates a strong contrast while still allowing for setting at small sizes.” Add to those features the subtely condesed proportions, and you get a unique sans serif font.

Another feature that sets Ocean Sans apart from other sans serif typefaces is its cursive italic. “I wanted a true italic to accompany the roman,” says Chong Wah, “because I believe that cursive designs are superior for adding emphasis within text. I also believe that a true italic style lends grace and elegance to a page."

The uniqueness and versatility of Ocean Sans sets it apart from a sea of other sans serif typefaces – and gives it the distinction of being truly a Super Family.
