The Stainless™ font family began its life as another font - Dispatch™. Designer Cyrus Highsmith began to sketch out an updated and serifless version of the Dispatch font, which he had also designed. As he drew strokes and counters, he realized that he had an original family with its own strong character, and not just a sans serif partner for the Dispatch font. The fully realized design took advantage of lower contrast ratios, completely rethought spacing, and shapes reworked to occupy missing serif space.
The Stainless font family is comprised of 35 designs. Weights range from a precise Ultra Thin to a full-bodied Black. Italics, condensed, compressed and even a suite of extended designs complete the family. Square shoulders and clipped terminals give the Stainless font a sophisticated demeanor that stands out from the crowd.
