Traditional Font Licenses
Monotype Imaging, like most other font foundries, licenses fonts for internal use on a set number of workstations. The typical font can be used on five workstations, while a font library provides for use on up to twenty workstations. This means that a standard end user license agreement does not support use of font software in Web applications, documents or services that are accessible to larger numbers of non-licensed users. However, Monotype Imaging has a range of licenses to address the needs of you or your organization no matter how many users you may have.
Monotype Imaging's Web Server License
Monotype Imaging has introduced a Web server license to support organizations offering new Web-based technologies that incorporate fonts and are beyond the scope of the standard End User License Agreement (EULA). Examples of these technologies include Web or server-based tools, services and applications used for:
Scrapbooking
Creating greeting cards
Building reports
Designing business cards
Creating stationery
Designing t-shirts
Much more
Licensing fonts from Monotype Imaging can add value to Web-based or downloadable applications and documents. Our wealth of high quality designs will expand the creative freedom of your users and can differentiate your service from the competition. All this comes with the comfort of knowing you’re in compliance with the type manufacturer’s license agreement.
