Richard Yeend has spent most of his career in news design. He has redesigned such prestigious papers as The Boston Herald American, International Herald Tribune and Die Welt. In addition, he has been Art Director for The New York Times and the European edition of The Wall Street Journal. There is also a lighter side to his work: when he is not serving as Art Director, Yeend creates editorial cartoons for magazines and newspapers.
Born in 1945, in London, Yeend studied at Kings College Taunton and the Cambridge School of Art. When he is not redesigning newspapers, or drawing editorial cartoons, he creates new typeface designs.
