Robert Howell
Robert Howell has been an award-winning designer/director since 1993. He created the typefaces Roughedge and Madness which appear in print and broadcast campaigns worldwide. He has designed and animated type for an impressive array of clients including Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Coke, Polaroid, Honda, Hyundai, Paul Mitchell, Blockbuster, New York Life Insurance and Wired magazine. As creative director of Paramount Digital Design, Robert created title sequences for film and television and designed and directed live-action spots for Mattel, Star Trek Voyager, Instant Replay Sports and Komu Japan. At H Design, Robert designed main titles for MTV and art directed the 2002 broadcast graphics package for National Geographic Channel International. For the CBS show “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”, he designed episodes of enhanced television which were nominated for an Interactive Emmy Award. He recently completed the broadcast package for Fox’s surf/skate television show “54321”. In Robert’s spare time he enjoys experimental film, skateboarding and, most of all, his wife and two daughters, Devan and Kylie.
