The Papyrus™ font family was created by Chris Costello and published in 1983 by Letraset, a foundry based in England which produced transferable lettering and patterning for creative applications. Subsequently the font was digitized and the rights were sold to the International Typeface Corporation which later became a subsidiary of the Monotype Corporation.
