Galanda Moderna is an occasional caps typeface with a reference to the book cover design of famous Slovak painter, graphic artist and illustrator Mikuláš Galanda (1895-1938).
The text, of the basic design Regular, holds a nostalgic touch of early 20th century. The Light version is treated separately, not only as a literal processing of the original weight Regular, and therefore the text appears a bit different with even secession flavor. The font is produced in OpenType format, in two weights Regular and Light and it is multilingual. Alphabetic characters are geometrically clean with strong accents.
The font is intended mainly for posters, headlines in books, newspapers, where its plain and clear design can be fully expressed.
