Nikolay Petroussenko

Nikolay Petroussenko is a type designer and artist based in Sofia, Bulgaria. He graduated Book and Printed Graphics BA (illustration, book & graphic design) and Type Design MA, both in National Academy of Art, Sofia. He worked in Poststudio, a studio for visual communication and later in DecoType, Dutch designer experts in Middle Eastern type and languages. Currently he is part of Fontfabric, a leading and popular worldwide type foundry for high-quality fonts. The demand for expansion of Non-Latin digital type together with his interests in graphic design, visual identity and languages brought him naturally to the vast field of type design, where one could have full control of the visual representation and functionality of typography. Beside being passionate about visual arts he takes part in various biennials and art events, in some of them as laureate.
