Dave Gibbons

By Comicraft

How can we possibly call our line of celebrity fonts the MASTERS OF COMIC BOOK ART if it doesn't include a font based on the remarkable work of comic's renaissance gentleman, artist/writer/colorist/letterer, Dave Gibbons? Based on Dave's easy-on-the-eye hand lettering, this is the font Dave himself uses to letter projects such as STAR WARS: VADER'S QUEST, MARTHA WASHINGTON & BATMAN: BLACK & WHITE. As for why Dave wanted to call his font set Gibbous; he tells us it means protuberant, rounded and bulging -- much like his lettering, obviously. What were YOU thinking?
