Lamatype

Lama Type is an independent Brazilian foundry founded in 2020 by Graphic Designer Renan Bassan. Renan's initial interest was in grotesque typefaces, using this style to develop his understanding of typography and release his first font entitled "Caribantu Grotesque." Over time, with new acquired knowledge, Caribantu Grotesque evolved with touches of a new design and refinements, leading to the release of "Caribantu Agora" two years later. With a significant appreciation for typographic tradition, studies based on revivals will be part of the foundry's future.
