By Monotype

Bustani is a typographic interpretation of Naskh, a principal calligraphic style of Arabic script. While inspired by the elegance of hot-metal typefaces from the early twentieth century, Bustani goes a step further by leaving behind the limitations of hot metal and embracing calligraphic traits such as inclined writing and fluid transitions. Intended primarily for setting literary text of all types, Bustani is directly useable in OpenType-compliant applications. Bustani’s character set supports Arabic, Farsi, and Urdu, along with many other languages.
