Planet Sans

Or try a Web font subscription for thousands of fonts, from 10/month.

The Planet types grew from a casual sorthand developed by designer Mat Planet. Built for speed and simplicity, this phoenetic writing system was later adapted to the Roman alphabet. What evolved was three styles of the Planet family of fonts. The Sans is an exotic monoweight reflection of the basic tools of Illustrator, looking somewhere between Bauhaus minimilism and something you''d see on an alien spaceship. Two new styles have been developed, a oblique and an Italic, plus a new black weight. The oblique is a good highly functional compliment to the Roman, but Planet Sans Italic strays from the geometric precedent and is a more flowing and casual expression of Planet Sans that''s warm and inviting, and a little funky. Each of these fonts comes with a free set of extensive ligatures and extras.
