Will Using Web Fonts Increase the Size of My Web Pages?

In order to display on the visitor’s machine, a Web font must be downloaded – just like images and video. However, font files are relatively small in size. On average, our Latin fonts range from 40-50KB in size. Also, depending on user settings, a browser will cache a Web font. This means that if a Web font is used on multiple pages, the font file is only downloaded when a visitor views the first page on your website that uses the font and not when viewing subsequent pages that use that font.
