Photo Lettering Inc.

The Photo Lettering Inc. company also known as PLINC was based in New York. They were the pioneers in photo typesetting and supplied at that time already their typesetting via airmail through the whole US. Many adaptions from former classic tyypefaces had been transferred into photo type and modified by talented type designers like Ed Benguiat, Bob Alonso, Vincent Pacella and Victor Caruso. ITC was one company tht took over severtal of their designs and transferred them into digital type.
