PampaType is a digital foundry founded in 2001 with the idea of developing fine typefaces with a singular Latin flavor. PampaType pioneered the current type design wave in Latin America. The foundry is run by Argentinean type & info designer Alejandro Lo Celso, who is also an author, and an educator on type & typography. After 8 years in Mexico, in 2010 PampaType relocated in Argentina. In contrast with the wide market of commercial fonts of nowadays, PampaType aims at the excellence of texts which are meaningful and that convey perennial ideas.
